Visit to the burial of great Leader Heydar Aliyev on Alley of Honor and to the Martyrs’ Avenue  

On October 12 the participants of the 19th meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies of CİS Member States held in Baku commemorated memory of our National Leader, founder and architect of modern independent Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev on Alley of Honor with reverence and laid bunch of flowers before his grave.   

Memory of distinguished scientist of ophthalmology, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, was also commemorated, fresh bunch of flowers were laid on her grave.  

Later on the participants of the meeting commemorated memory of Motherland’s descendants who sacrificed their lives in the fight for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Martyrs’ Avenue and placed brunches of flowers on their graves and put wreath in front of “Eternal Flame” Memorial.

Guests looked out over a panorama of Azerbaijani capital from the highest point of Baku and they were informed about the history of the Martyrs’ Avenue and reconstruction works carried out in our city.
