Meeting with the delegation of General Authority of Ports, Borders and Free Zones Security of Supreme Council for National Security of United Arab Emirates

Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev talked about the activity of the authority led by him during the meeting which held within the visit of delegation headed by Jassem Muhammad Al Zaabi, Director of General Authority of Ports, Borders and Free Zones Security of Supreme Council for National Security of United Arab Emirates, to our country. Noting that Azerbaijan, locating at the crossroads of the East with the West, playing an important role in the development of political, economical and trade relation between the two regions became a dialogue platform between civilizations, Service chief spoke about successful cooperation opportunities with relevant agencies of United Arab Emirates in the field of migration as the other areas.

F. Nabiyev characterized hosting the Baku 2015 European Games by our country, successfully implementing international projects in the various areas of social, political, socio-cultural life with the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in the recent years, as an example to the prestige of Azerbaijan geographically locating in the centre of Eurasia, as well. Service chief, speaking about achievements of Azerbaijan, which is the joint place for different cultures and an Islamic country, in the world arena as an example of tolerance, specially emphasized increasing interest of foreigners to our republic in the recent years.   

He stated establishment of progressive legislative base to ensure protection of rights and freedoms of foreigners, as well as stateless persons arriving in Azerbaijan at a high level.

Expressing his gratitude for sincere meeting head of delegation, Jassem Muhammad Al Zaabi, Director of General Authority of Ports, Borders and Free Zones Security of Supreme Council for National Security of United Arab Emirates noted that he was impressed by the construction work he saw, socio-economic development he acquainted, existing stability in Azerbaijan.

Detailed opinion exchange was carried out on the several issues of mutual interest at the meeting, in which further cooperation opportunities of the relevant governmental bodies created as a result of friendship relations between Azerbaijan and United Arab Emirates who have extended relationships on political, economical, trade and technical cooperation.
