Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the 30th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies of the CIS participating states

A delegation led by Elman Aliyev, Deputy Chief of the State Migration Service,II rank state migration service counselor, participated in the 30th meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies of the participating states of the Commonwealth of Independent States , held in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.  

​Speaking at the meeting, the head of the delegation provided information on the current migration situation in the Republic of Azerbaijan since the last meeting of the Council held in Baku, amendments made to the national legislation in this field, as well as measures implemented to combat irregular migration and the work done toward expanding cooperation with international partners. During the speech, it was noted that special attention is paid to the application of modern information technologies in our country for the effective management of migration processes. Within this framework, the work carried out regarding databases, the expansion of electronic services, and the management of migration processes through digital solutions was brought to attention.  

​During the event, issues on the agenda were discussed by the representatives of the participating states, and relevant decisions were adopted.
