Chief of the State Migration Service met with officials of the International Organization for Migration

Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor, has met with Lars Johan Lönnback, Chief of Mission for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Georgia and Country Office with Coordinating Functions in the region.

Welcoming the guests, Vusal Huseynov spoke about the long-standing fruitful cooperation established between the International Organization for Migration and the State Migration Service, the work carried out in this direction, as well as the dynamics of cooperation since the last meeting.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial meeting, the IOM Chief of Mission for in Georgia, Lars Johan Lönnback, underlined the importance of partnership and joint cooperation in the field of migration and noted that he would spare no effort to further develop the existing relations.

During the meeting, discussions were held on issues of mutual interest, including the International Migration Review Forum to be held in 2026 and activities within the framework of the Regional Training Centre on Migration.
