Information of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan on visa-free travel regime for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China

The “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Mutual Visa Exemption from for Citizens Holding Ordinary Passports” approved by the Law No. 208-VIIQ of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 30, 2025, entered into force on July 16, 2025.

Based on this agreement citizens of the People's Republic of China with valid ordinary passports may enter, exit, and transit through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the People's Republic of China without a visa, for a single stay not exceeding 30 days and for a cumulative period of stay not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.

Citizens of the People's Republic of China temporarily staying in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days should get registered upon place of stay in accordance with the requirements of the Migration Code.

Chinese citizens who wish to stay in the country for more than 30 days, reside, carry out labor, education, media activities, or other special activities can enter the country after obtaining a visa in accordance with requirements of the legislation.
