Arzu Rahimov received the delegation headed by Minister of Interior of Latvia Republic

Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Arzu Rahimov received the delegation headed by Minister of Interior of Latvia Republic, Mrs. Linda Mürniece on April 19, 2011.

At the meeting Service chief Mr. Arzu Rahimov gave information about the establishment history of State Migration Service, its functioning principles, also addendums and amendments made to the migration legislation, implementation of “Single Window” principle. Service chief notified that within a short time the structure of the Service has been formed, 5 regional departments are functioning, 2 detention centers for illegal migrants are ready for use, also in the future construction of other departments is considered.

Thanking for sincere reception the guest notified the necessity of enhancing and improving relations in the migration sphere between relevant authorities of the two countries. Minister emphasized that results gained in the sphere of migration owing to Azerbaijany President Ilham Aliyev’s attention and care is a gratifying case. Mrs. Linda Mürniece invited Service chief Mr. Arzu Rahimov to the Republic of Latvia.

 
Within the meeting Latvian delegation visited Heydar Aliyev Museum of the Service, library and Training Center.
