The opening ceremony of the “Migration School – 8” project held

The “Migration School – 8” project has been launched with the joint organization of the State Migration Service and the Representation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The main objective of the project is to enhance the knowledge and skills in the field of migration of young people who will operate in various fields in the future, to foster interest in this field, to instill professional habits, to raise awareness of public administration, and to contribute to their personal and professional development.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor, Anar Iskandarov Representative of the IOM Office in Azerbaijan, employees of the Service, and 25 candidates selected for participation in the project.

Delivering a speech at the event, Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov congratulated the young people who successfully passed the competition stages and gained the right to take part in the project, wishing them success in their future endeavors. It was noted that the “Migration School” project serves to strengthen the youths’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of migration, as well as to build professional human resource potential.

Speakers at the event emphasized that the project creates important opportunities for participants to acquire professional knowledge in the field of migration, to gain information modern migration trends, as well as the activities of relevant international organizations. It was stated that the curriculum of the project, which will be implemented over a six-month period, has been designed based on modern teaching methods.

Within the framework of the project, the participants are planned to be involved in trainings on topics such as the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of migration, mechanisms and legal framework of migration management, diaspora activities, tourism and visa policy, as well as other relevant issues. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to undertake internships in relevant structural divisions of the State Migration Service, and additional trainings aimed at developing their personal and professional skills will be organized.

It should be noted that the trainings will be delivered by specialized employees of the State Migration Service, representatives of partner organizations of the Migration School, local and international experts, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations, as well as experienced officials from state bodies.
