The procedure for issuing and extending work permits to foreigners and stateless persons involved in labor activities in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been improved.

Amendments to the Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “The Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on state fee” dated December 9, 2022 apply to foreigners and stateless persons involved in labor activities in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan from January 1, 2023 to January 1, 2028include followings:

Issuance and extension of the work permit without taking into account the labor migration quota; Reduction of the processing time for the work permit application by 5 working days;

Extending the work permit for no more than 2 years each time.

Determination of the amounts of the state fee for the issuance and extension of the work permit as follows:

within five working days:

• Up to 3 months - 700 manats;
• Up to 6 months - 900 manats;
• Up to 1 year - 1400 manats.
• Up to 1 year and 6 months - 1600 manats;
• Up to 2 years - 1800 manats.

within ten working days:

• up to 3 months - 500 manats;
• Up to 6 months - 700 manats;
• Up to 1 year - 1200 manats.
• Up to 1 year and 6 months - 1400 manats;
• Up to 2 years - 1600 manats.

within fifteen working days:

• Up to 3 months - 350 manats;
• Up to 6 months - 600 manats;
• Up to 1 year - 1000 manats.
• Up to 1 year and 6 months - 1200 manats;
• Up to 2 years - 1400 manats.
