Cooperation of non-governmental organizations operating in the direction of the fight against corruption with state authorities was discussed

At the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations together with the State Migration Service an event on "Strengthening the cooperation of NGOs operating in the direction of the fight against corruption with state authorities" was held.

Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov mentioned that a progressive anti-corruption legislative framework has been systematically formed based on the strong political will to fight against corruption in our country, , taking into account international experience, important institutional measures have been implemented, and these reforms continue today. He said that the close cooperation of the Service with civil society institutions can be considered as an example of the importance given to public supervision and increasing transparency in the activity of the Service.

Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, in her opening speech, emphasized the importance of maintaining the measures implemented in the field of combatting corruption, improving the normative legal framework and institutional mechanisms.

The members of the Supervisory Board of the Agency, Azer Allahverenov, Zaur Ibrahimov, and heads of non-governmental organizations emphasized the importance of promoting the activities of NGOs on the background of democratic reforms carried out in our country, and touched upon the actual issues of the fight against corruption. They said that the new initiatives of NGOs in the fight against corruption serve to ensuring of transparency in the activities of state authorities.

At the event, opinions were exchanged on the issues of mutual interest, and questions were answered.
