Measures on fight against illegal migration are continued

Measures on fight against illegal migration are continued by State Migration Service (SMS).

As a result of the measures taken by State Migration Service against illegal migration 11 foreigners in total, including 5 citizens of India, 3 citizens of Pakistan, 2 citizens of Bangladesh and 1 citizen of Afghanistan were detained.

During the investigation it was revealed that 2 citizens of Pakistan and 2 citizens of Bangladesh among the detained foreigners allegedly came to the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to carry out business activity, but were not engaged in any business activity and the real purpose of their application was only residence and free movement in the country.

The violation of the rules of stay and residence on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the other detained foreigners was revealed, as well. 

With this, violation of the requirements of migration legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan by foreigners was detected and relevant administrative measures were taken about them.
